A FUN AND AFFORDABLE HEALTHY DAY
A new supervised holiday program run in conjunction with AFL ACT.
Each day features team building via video gaming and esports as well as a fun fitness sessions run by AFL ACT. A healthy lunch and snacks are provided, and it is of interest for kids aged 10 to 16 years.
Our programs are designed to promote a healthy balanced lifestyle while keeping the kids engaged and entertained for the entire day.
Ticket packs for two and four days.
A focus of the program is healthy eating, we have teamed up with popular health food caterer to provide specially created lunch options aimed at active teenagers.

We will contact you regarding your lunch choices and to gather any other dietary requirements information.
Video gaming and esports can be a useful channel for developing positive social skills and team work. The Active Gamers program will run daily gaming sessions with a focus on team building. Participants will need to work together cohesively to achieve a common goal. The physical activity session with AFL ACT will also have a team work element. The aim is to foster an inclusive and mutually supportive environment.
WHAT TO BRING
Required: Clothing suitable for sport, sport shoes, any medication, epipens or inhalers, and extra snacks (no nuts).
WHAT TO NOT BRING
Active Gamers has a no nuts policy. Please ensure any snacks brought contain no nuts.
ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
Doors open at 8.15am for registration and the program begins at 9am each day with a short introduction and venue orientation.
Participants who are 15 years or older can sign themselves in.
Parents will need to collect all children by 5.30pm. You are welcome to collect them anytime from 4pm to 5.30pm, remembering to sign out at reception.
Participants who are 15 years and older can sign themselves out.
If someone else is picking up your children we will need prior notice.
The staff will wait with children and attempt to contact parents after 5.30pm.
We practice sun safety and outdoor activities will require a hat, sunscreen and drink bottle.
We ask that you apply sunscreen in the morning before the program commences.
SUPERVISION AND RATIOS
The Active Gamer program will have between 1 and 2 adults supervising participants at all times.
During gaming sessions the Active Gamers team members will supervise and during the physical activity sessions AFL ACT staff will supervise.
All adult staff on the program will have Working with Vulnerable People certification.
We ask if you consent to photographs and videos of your child being used for promotional purposes. These may be placed on Facebook, our website to show people what Active Gamers Australia is about.
